These Four Heroes Rushed In And Saved The Day
Joan Valery survived a kitchen fire in Albany thanks to the quick actions of four college students who heard her screams for help. The students, who had just arrived home from skiing, rushed to Valery's aid and rescued her from the burning house before fire crews arrived. Valery credits the young men with saving her life, as they were the only neighbors who responded to her cries for help. Unfortunately, one of Valery's pets, a 20-year-old parakeet named Kiwi, died due to smoke inhalation in the fire. Valery plans to thank the students with a gesture of gratitude for their heroic actions.
