I can't speak for the rest of the country, but Phil said that there was going to be an early Spring this year, and here in the Capital Region and North Country he may be right! We just literally missed a big storm up here, and there is next to no snow on the ground. I know other parts of the country have gotten hit with some heavy snow, but not here. At least not yet. It may be a little early and I really don't know how much you can trust a groundhog with the weather forecast, but.. maybe, just maybe he might have got it right for our region. I guess we will have to wait and see.
