Scientists at MIT have developed a new way to remove micropollutants from water! Micropollutants can be harmful to us and the environment and can be caused by many different things. Some micropollutants can be removed using activated carbon filters, but creating these filters can be energy intensive and create a lot of waste. This new process is much more sustainable and can eliminate micropollutants at least ten times faster than the activated carbon filters that we use today.
