Beyonce Goes Country?

Many Country artists gone from country to pop, but rarely vice versa...

Beyonce... going country?? Maybe the Stetson she wore at the Grammys should have been a clue, but it's a shock that's had everyone talking about it since Sunday!

During the "Big Game", Beyonce dropped a commercial with Verizon where she tried to "break the internet" in a series of skits. This included a cloned version of herself, a smooth jazz project, going to space and at the end, she talks about dropping new music.

Of course as Beyonce hadn't teased a country project, many country music fans were surprised to hear the singles "Texas Hold 'Em" and "16 Carriages". Both songs are certainly a departure from Beyonce's sound over the years, and a debate erupted online on whether these songs were "Country" or not. But what does it mean to be "Country"?

Some online argued that she's just a pop star just trying to capitalize on the popularity of country music right now. However, after you've heard "Texas Hold 'Em" a few times, you realize it's a fresh take on the genre, and it could become a great song for line dancing!

Let us know your honest opinion and whether you'd like to hear more of it. Take a listen to the uncensored version below!
