Remarkably there are no reports of injuries.
Update 7/17 2:01pm: New York State Police say the crash itself happened Tuesday night shortly after 7pm. The pilot, Clifford Souza of Pattersonville had just taken off from Duanesburg Airport, he was attempting to scout a nearby landing area when wheels of the plane caught some tall grass, causing him to lose airspeed. He was able to make an emergency landing in the field. Police say alcohol was not a factor and there doesn't appear to be any kind of criminal activity. The FAA is still looking into the situation.
