It's the retailer's first store in Warren County
After home goods retailer Big Lots has shut down a number of stores, including it's Queensbury location, many wondered what would take its place. It was announced this week at the popular discount store Ocean State Job Lot will be opening its first location in Warren County at the former Big Lots on Upper Glen Street.
In a statement to News 10, Ocean State District Team Leader Pat Bridget said the retailer is thrilled to expand in the Empire State.
We are excited to open our 16th store in New York and first in Warren County. We look forward to bringing our vibrant, exciting and value-focused shopping experience to Queensbury early next year.
The new store will offer about 50 full and part-time jobs. Though an exact opening date hasn't been set, they are targeting early 2025.
