A devastating Troy fire has left one 13-year-old boy without his parents or sister.

There are some tragedies that are difficult to put into words. This is one of them. 

A devastating overnight fire in Troy has taken the lives of 37-year-old Dominick Rizzo Jr, 39-year-old Alicia Ruefle and their young daughter Abagail. In the span of just one night, a family was shattered and 13-year-old Dominick III is facing a future no child should ever have to imagine - without his parents and sister. 

For the people of Troy and the entire Capital Region, it's a heartbreaking reminder that behind every fire call and every news report are real people, real families, and lives that can never be replaced. Dominick is now surrounded by grief and an unimaginable loss, and his family and loved ones are asking the community for help as they begin to navigate the days ahead.
