A 20 year staple is shutting down
Just after word came down that Buca di Beppo on Wolf Road would be closing, the 99 Restaurant announced it too would be closing its doors. In a statement to News 10, the company said their lease was up at the current location and they decided not to renew.
We are also deeply grateful for the outstanding work of our operating team. We are working with our team members to either relocate them to other stores and/or support them any way we can in their job search, including offering severance.
About a year ago, the 99 closed its Clifton Park location near Clifton Park Center due to economic issues at the time.
Three 99 Restaurants remain in the Capital Region, one inside ViaPort Rotterdam, one inside Aviation Mall in Queensbury and the other next to Wilton Mall in Saratoga.
The Colonie location's last day will be Sunday August 11.
