Miranda Lambert Mixing Country With Disco

Country Music has always been known for its diverse sounds. Kenny Rogers and Lionel Richie brought an R&B sound to Country Radio in the 80s, Jimmy Buffett and Kenny Chesney brought the Caribbean vibes, Patsy Cline and Jim Reeves gave us mellow lush orchestration, Ricky Skaggs and Dierks Bentley brought the Bluegrass and  several other artists have experimented with a dose of hip hop, dance, rock or even metal to create their own Country Sound.

Now, the most awarded act in the history of the Academy of Country Music Awards, Miranda Lambert, has fun with a bit of Disco Infused Country, that she comically labeled 'Crisco'.  Miranda told Billboard: “I’ve always loved every corner of country music. The heartbreak songs, the honky-tonk songs, the songs that make you think and the songs that make you dance. Making this record reminded me that those things don’t have to be separated. We followed the songs wherever they wanted to go, trusted our instincts and ended up with something that feels really fun and really honest to who I am.”

The tune has even inspired its own Line Dance, created by George Blick.
