If you don't need to go out, stay in this morning
The North Country is waking up to an ice sheet this morning.
A winter storm has brought iced over limbs and power outages across the North Country. According to National Grid, Approximately 3,000 customers in Saratoga and Warren Counties are reporting power outages as of 5:30AM.
8:00AM Update: The list of power outages have grown. About 3,000 customers in Southwestern Saratoga County - Galway and Charlton, are reporting no power according to National Grid, and about 600 in the Town of Fort Ann. About 1,500 are reporting no power in Warrensburg and the Town of Chester up to Chestertown.
The primary roads are looking decent, with most roads being treated for the ice. However, secondaries and side streets may have icy spots, and parking lots and driveways are definitely frozen over.
CBS 6's Craig Adams says that the temperature will warm up through the day on Monday, causing the freezing rain to change to a cold plain rain. High temperatures are estimated to be in the upper 30's.
