Traffic was tied up as black smoke filled the air
A large plume of smoke could be seen from miles away after a car caught on Route 146 near the intersection of Clifton Country Road in Clifton Park Wednesday morning.
NewsChannel 13 reports the car caught fire around 8am - several lanes had to be closed down as crews worked to put it out. By 8:45am the fire was out and the vehicle was in the process of being removed from the roadway.
Only the one car was involved - nobody was injured. The cause is still being investigated.
