This Move Is by the Book! The Book House Calls on Readers to Help Relocate!
The Book House, the beloved independent bookstore in Stuyvesant Plaza, is calling on the community to help turn the page on its next chapter as it relocates to a new storefront just 100 yards from its current home. On February 5 at 9 a.m., volunteers are invited to take part in a ceremonial “book brigade” at the new location, forming a human chain to pass books hand-to-hand into the space. The store will officially reopen on February 10 in its new spot next to Athleta, with a spring celebration planned to mark the move and welcome readers into its refreshed home.
UPDATE: The Book House is now at capacity of volunteers during this time.
