The festival has been in place for over 50 years
The Adirondack Balloon Festival is set to return September 17 through September 20, featuring a patriotic theme in celebration of America's 250th anniversary. Organizers gave a sneak preview of the event with a hot air balloon inflation in Colonie, showcasing colorful attractions that will fill the skies over Warren County. The festival will include about 60 traditional hot air balloons, as well as special-shaped aircraft like a U.S. flag balloon, a space shuttle balloon, and animal-shaped balloons from Great Britain. Admission to the festival is free, making it a popular North Country tradition that draws thousands of visitors each year to witness the colorful balloons launch and float above the region.
